The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Álava (hereinafter COCIA) domiciled in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Alava), Calle Dato No. 38, (01005), informs users of the web page which it owns, camaradealava.com, about its policy regarding the protection of personal data, so that users may freely and voluntarily, if they wish to provide the COCIA with the personal data which may be required of them or that can be obtained on the occasion of the subscription or registration in some of the services offered by the COCIA. Likewise, they are informed that the collection and automated treatment of personal data has as its purpose: the maintenance of the contractual relationship established in the event with the COCIA, the management, administration, delivery, expansion and improvement of the services in which the user decides to subscribe, sign up, or use; the adaptation of such services to the preferences of the users, the study of the use of the services by users, the design of new services relating to these services, and authorize the sending of updates to the services, and the sending, by means of traditional and electronic media, for the purposes of article 21 of Law 34/2002 on July 11, Information Society Services and E-commerce, technical, operational and commercial information about products and services offered by the COCIA. The purpose of the collection and automated treatment of personal data also includes the sending of questionnaires which the user is not obliged to answer.

The COCIA has adopted the legally required levels of security for the protection of personal data, and has installed all the technical means and measures at its disposal to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized access and theft of personal data provided to the COCIA. Nevertheless, the user must be aware that Internet security measures may sometimes be breached.

Users have and may exercise the rights to access, cancel, rectify and oppose their personal data.
